Privacy Policy

Preflop has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Your practice stays on your device. The only personal data the app sends us is feedback you choose to send. Everything else the app does online is listed below, under Everything the app does online.

What the app stores, and where

Everything the app records stays on your device, in the app's own private storage. It is never transmitted. That includes:

• Your practice history — the hands you were dealt, the action you chose, whether it was right, how long you took, and the position, situation, stack depth and table size each hand was played at.
• Your progress — streak, XP, level, daily goal, personal records, and which badges you have earned.
• Your bankroll sessions — if you use the bankroll tracker: the sessions you log (cash or tournament, venue, game, buy-ins, cash-out, time played, an optional mood and note), your home currency and your bankroll goal. They are kept in their own store on your device.
• Your settings — appearance, card faces and backs, animation speed, sound, haptics and background motion, practice filters, the hand timer, your daily goal, and whether reminders are on.
• Your answers to the welcome questions — the format you play, your level, how sure you are of your charts, and what you want to improve. They shape the app for you and are never sent anywhere.

The Home Screen widget shows your streak, your remaining free hands and a hand to answer. It reads them from storage shared only between Preflop and its own widget, on the same device. If you start a live bankroll session, the Lock Screen shows it as a Live Activity, drawn by iOS from data on your device.

If you turn on practice reminders, they are scheduled by iOS on your device. No push service or server is involved, and you can turn them off in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings at any time.

If you have device backups turned on, this data may be included in your device's backup along with the rest of your apps. Those backups are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, not by us.

Feedback you choose to send

The app has feedback buttons (a one-tap reaction, or a flag on a hand) and a form for writing to us. Nothing is sent unless you tap one of them. When you do, the app sends:

• What you sent — the reaction you tapped, or the message you wrote and its topic.
• Your email address, only if you enter one, so we can reply. It is optional.
• The hand it is about, if you sent it from a hand: the cards, seat, situation, stack depth and table size, the app's answer and the one you chose.
• Technical details — the app's version and build, your iOS version and your iPhone model, so we can reproduce problems.

We use feedback only to answer you, fix problems and improve the app's charts and explanations. It is not used for advertising, it is not combined with any other data, and it is never sold or shared.

Feedback is received and stored by Cloudflare, which runs our server, and written messages are forwarded to our email inbox. Your IP address is used for a moment to stop the form from being flooded, and is not stored. We keep feedback for as long as it helps us improve the app. To have yours deleted, email us from the address you used, or tell us roughly when you sent it.

Everything the app does online

Practice works offline. The app goes online for four things only, and none of them sends your practice history, progress or bankroll:

• The plan list. When it opens, the app downloads a small file from preflopapp.com listing which plans to offer. The request carries no information about you. Like any web request, it reveals your IP address to the server; we do not log or store it.
• Your subscription, with Apple. The app asks Apple whether you have a valid purchase or subscription; see Purchases below.
• Feedback you choose to send, described above.
• A currency rate, for the bankroll tracker. Only when you log a session in a currency other than your home currency, the app asks a third-party exchange-rate service (Frankfurter, which publishes European Central Bank rates) for the rate between the two. The request carries the two currency codes and nothing else, and like any web request it reveals your IP address to that service. We do not receive it, and it is covered by that service's own practices, not ours.

Sharing a hand

You can share a hand as a link. The app builds it on your device, from the hand and the answer you picked, and gives it to the iOS share sheet; it goes only where you send it, through the app you choose. Anyone who opens it sees that hand. The page at preflopapp.com reads the link in the browser to draw the hand, and we do not store it.

Beta testing

While Preflop is in beta, you install it through Apple's TestFlight. Apple runs TestFlight and your TestFlight account, and may pass us crash reports and any feedback you choose to send through TestFlight, under Apple's terms and privacy policy. We use them only to fix the app.

What we do not do

• We do not require an account or any sign-up.
• We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
• We do not include third-party SDKs that collect data.
• We do not sell or share your data.

The app does not ask for permission to track you across other apps or websites, because it does not do so.

Purchases

Preflop Pro is sold through the App Store. Purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple, and we never see or receive your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether a valid purchase or subscription exists. Apple's handling of that transaction is covered by Apple's own privacy policy, and your subscription is managed in your App Store account settings.

Children

Preflop is not directed at children. It has no accounts, no messaging, and no way to share anything with other users. If a child has sent us feedback with an email address, contact us and we will delete it.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app from your device removes everything it has stored, including your entire practice history, progress and bankroll sessions. The only thing we hold is feedback you sent; see above for how to have it deleted.

To clear your history and progress without deleting the app, use Settings → Help → Reset Progress. It deletes your hand history, XP, level, streak and badges, and keeps your plan and purchases.

Changes to this policy

If the app starts collecting anything new, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the App Store privacy information will be updated to match.
